Join in the celebration of the 154th birthday of Phi Kappa Psi and the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the Alabama Alpha Chapter. The Alabama Alpha Chapter and the Birmingham Alumni Association will jointly host Founders Day 2007 at the Alabama Alpha chapter house on Saturday, March 3, 2007, in Tuscaloosa. The festivities will begin with a reception at the chapter house followed by a “Dedication of the newly refurbished John F. Ramsey Room.” During the reception there will be opportunities for house tours to view the many improvements that have been made to the chapter house over the last few years. The Founders Day luncheon will be held in the chapter courtyard under the “Big Top” (tent). Our speaker for the luncheon will be Harry Lee, a former football player and the current Secretary/Treasurer of the Alabama Athletic Club (“A” Club) and a Trustee of the University’s John F. Ramsey Award. Following the luncheon Harry hopes to arrange a walking tour of the newly refurbished football stadium and view the many areas of the stadium that are off limits to the general public on game days. We hope to arrange to have a group picture while we are in the stadium. To close out the Founders Day festivities the chapter plans to provide a dance band from 8pm to 12am in the courtyard under the “Big Top”. The details:
